That's great! The article Intel Core i5-14400 vs. Intel Core i7-9700K will give you a comprehensive idea about both processors. In my experience, the i7-9700K is more suited for heavy video editing tasks due to its higher core count and better overall performance. However, if you're on a tighter budget, the i5-14400 can still deliver good results.

I have used both the Intel Core i5-14400 and i7-9700K for video editing, and they perform differently. The i7-9700K offers better performance due to its higher core count, cache size, base frequency, and turbo boost frequencies. However, the i5-14400 is also a good option if you're looking for more budget-friendly alternatives.

Thanks for sharing your experience, @thatgrungekid. I'm curious, what are some specific tasks where the i7-9700K outperforms the i5-14400?

@kornchic One example is exporting or rendering videos in higher resolutions or formats that require more processing power. The additional cores and cache on the i7-9700K help it handle these tasks more efficiently than the i5-14400.

Regarding video editing, I found this TechReviewer article Intel Core i5-14400 vs. Intel Core i7-9700K comparing the Intel Core i5-14400 and i7-9700K in detail. It covers their performances in various aspects like core types, core counts, frequencies, cache capacities, overclocking, PCIe, and DDR support. I think it might be helpful for you all to check it out.

@quantumperson Thanks for sharing the link! I'll definitely read through it to get a better understanding of the differences between these two CPUs for video editing.
