I'm looking to buy a new CPU for my gaming PC and can't decide between the Intel Core i5-13600K and the i7-12700K. Has anyone used these CPUs before? Any advice on which one would be better for gaming?
Intel Core i5-13600K vs. i7-12700K - Better for Gaming?

Both of those CPUs are great choices! I have the 13600K and it works well for gaming, but I've also heard good things about the 12700K.
In my experience, the i7-12700K offers slightly better overall performance due to its higher core count, base frequency, and single-core boost frequency. However, both CPUs should provide decent gaming experiences. Check out this TechReviewer article Intel Core i5-13600K vs. Intel Core i7-12700K for a more in-depth comparison.
Thanks for the input! The 12700K seems like a good option then. But I'm also worried about the heat generation, as my PC case isn't very spacious.
Yeah, it's worth mentioning that both CPUs can get quite warm under heavy load, but you should be able to maintain those frequencies with a high-end cooler.
The 13600K has a slightly lower max stock speed for DDR memory compared to the 12700K, so if you plan on upgrading your RAM in the future, that might be something to consider. The difference isn't huge though, and it shouldn't impact gaming performance significantly.
That's good to know! So, I should be fine with either CPU for gaming? Just need to make sure I have a good cooler, right?
Yup, that's about it! Both CPUs will give you great gaming experiences, but the 12700K might offer slightly better performance overall.
I've been using the 13600K and haven't faced any issues. It's also easier on my wallet compared to the 12700K. It really comes down to your budget and preferences in the end.
True, the 13600K can be more affordable, but it ultimately depends on what you prioritize in a gaming CPU. For me, I value higher base frequencies and single-core boost frequency, which is why I went with the 12700K.
