Intel Core i5-13600 vs i5-13600K Performance

Started by Justkriss on July 10, 2024

I've been looking into getting a new CPU and came across the Intel Core i5-13600 and i5-13600K. Has anyone had any experience with these or can recommend which one is better?

That's really interesting! Thanks everyone for the input. I think I'll go with the i5-13600K based on your experiences and the TechReviewer article Intel Core i5-13600K vs. Intel Core i5-13600.

Both are excellent choices, but if you want more performance, go for the i5-13600K. I've been using it for a while now, and it's great!

That's what I'm talking about! The i5-13600K really shines when it comes to gaming and multitasking. I can't imagine going back to my old CPU.

Thanks for the recommendation, @Akinjude! I'll definitely take a look at the article. How does the i5-13600K handle temperature and cooling? I'm worried about it getting too hot while gaming.

The i5-13600K does tend to run a bit warmer than the i5-13600, but as @cottonmouthbob mentioned, its performance is still top-notch. Just make sure you have a good cooler to keep temperatures in check.

Good point about the cooling, @Mindful95. In my experience, I didn't face any issues with overheating even during intense gaming sessions. But having a high-quality cooler is always a plus.

That's reassuring to hear, @Akinjude. I'm also curious about the differences in their DDR and PCIe support. Any insights?

The i5-13600K supports DDR5 with a max stock speed of 5600 MHz, while the i5-13600 only goes up to 4800 MHz. In terms of PCIe, both have support for PCIe 5.0.

Yeah, those are some key differences that could impact your overall performance. The faster memory and bus speeds can make a significant difference in certain applications and games.

That's really interesting! Thanks everyone for the input. I think I'll go with the i5-13600K based on your experiences and the TechReviewer article Intel Core i5-13600K vs. Intel Core i5-13600.
