Before you make a decision, I would recommend checking out TechReviewer's article Intel Core i5-13500 vs. Intel Core i9-10900K which goes into detail about the performance of these two CPUs in various game scenarios. It could provide some valuable insights and help you make an informed choice.

The Core i5-13500 and Core i9-10900K both offer good gaming performance, with the main differences being in their core types, counts, frequencies, and cache capacities. The Core i9-10900K has a 5.30 GHz single-core max turbo boost frequency compared to the i5-13500's 4.80 GHz frequency. Additionally, the i9-10900K has more cores at 10 compared to the i5-13500's 14 cores (6 performance + 8 efficiency). The main takeaway is that both CPUs should be suitable for most games, but the i9-10900K might have an edge in performance due to its higher turbo boost frequency and overclocking capabilities. Have you checked out TechReviewer's comparison article on these two CPUs? It provides a more in-depth look at their specifications and performance. Intel Core i5-13500 vs. Intel Core i9-10900K

Thanks for the information, @kuramochiyu. I appreciate your input. However, I'm still unsure whether having more cores would significantly impact my gaming experience. Could you provide more details about this aspect?

Having more than 6-8 cores generally doesn't provide a significant benefit in gaming performance since most modern games don't utilize that many cores effectively. That being said, the Core i9-10900K does have an advantage with its higher turbo boost frequency and overclocking capabilities. These factors could help it outperform the Core i5-13500 in certain scenarios or game titles.

In addition to what @CharlieLeaPavory mentioned, it's also worth considering other aspects like your budget and the specific games you plan on playing. If you're on a tight budget, the Core i5-13500 might be more suitable for you. On the other hand, if you have extra funds to spend and are looking for maximum performance, the Core i9-10900K could be worth considering.

That makes sense. I think I'll do some more research on the specific games I plan to play and see how each CPU performs in those titles. Thanks everyone for your help!
