Thanks for all the info! I'll definitely check out the TechReviewer article Intel Core i5-13400F vs. Intel Core i5-11500 you mentioned, @yeskaydee. It seems like both CPUs are capable of delivering solid gaming performance.

Both CPUs are quite similar in terms of gaming performance, but there are some differences you might want to consider. For instance, the 13400F has a higher single-core max turbo boost frequency and more CPU cores.

I've been using the i5-11500 for a while now and it works pretty well for me. The games run smoothly with a high-performance cooler.

Thanks for the input! I noticed that both have 6 cores. So, does having more cores mean better gaming performance?

That's a good question. While having multiple CPU cores can improve performance, games may not benefit from more than 6 to 8 cores. It really depends on the game and how well it's optimized for multi-core processing.

Yeah, that's right. The most important factors for gaming are single-core max turbo boost frequency and the number of cores. So in that sense, the 13400F might have an edge over the i5-11500.

I think it ultimately comes down to personal preference and your budget. Both CPUs offer good game performance with a high-performance CPU cooler.

Solution

Good luck with your decision, @jakesnake100! Don't forget to consider other factors like GPU performance and overall system compatibility as well.

I agree with @wheatthin92. Remember that a good GPU is critical for gaming performance, so make sure you have one that can handle the games you want to play.

That's all from me! Hope you find the perfect CPU for your gaming setup. Good luck!

I'll keep these points in mind and make my decision.
