I've been looking at the new Intel CPUs and can't decide between the i5-12600K and i9-11900K for my gaming PC. Can anyone share their experience or knowledge on which one would be better for gaming? Any advice would be appreciated.

I see, so it seems like both CPUs have their own strengths and weaknesses. I'll definitely check out Intel Core i5-12600K vs. Intel Core i9-11900K again to make sure I understand everything. Thanks for the input everyone!

I'm currently using an i9-11900K, and it works great for gaming! I don't really notice any issues with frame rates or performance. The only downside is that it's a bit expensive compared to the i5-12600K.

@toodazed, you might find this TechReviewer article Intel Core i5-12600K vs. Intel Core i9-11900K helpful in making your decision. It compares the two CPUs and discusses their performance for gaming and general app use. I personally think both are excellent choices, but it really comes down to your budget and specific needs.

@SnGSmama. That article is very informative! So, based on that article, would you say the i5-12600K offers better value for money compared to the i9-11900K for a gaming PC?

That's hard to say, as both CPUs are great. The i5-12600K has more cores and a higher single-core turbo frequency, which should be beneficial in many games. On the other hand, the i9-11900K has better general app and professional tool performance.

I've been using an i5-12600K for a couple of months now, and I must say it's fantastic for gaming! The higher refresh rate makes a huge difference in gaming, especially during fast-paced matches like Apex Legends. The resolution is also great for immersive gaming experiences. I'd go with the Samsung Odyssey G9 if I were you.

@OlliverClosoff, that's good to know! However, remember that the i5-12600K supports DDR5 with a max stock speed of 4800 MHz and PCIe 5.0, while the i9-11900K supports DDR4 with a max stock speed of 3200 MHz and PCIe 4.0. These differences may affect your overall performance.

I see, so it seems like both CPUs have their own strengths and weaknesses. I'll definitely check out Intel Core i5-12600K vs. Intel Core i9-11900K again to make sure I understand everything. Thanks for the input everyone!
