I've been looking at these two processors for my new gaming rig, but can't decide which one to go for. Has anyone tried either of them? It's a bit confusing.

I've used the i5-12600 in my gaming PC for a few weeks now and it works great! You can check out more details at Intel Core i5-12600 vs. Intel Core i5-12500. I think it handles games pretty well, especially with a good GPU.

Oh, really? That's interesting. Thanks for sharing your experience, @mbarrado. I've been considering the i5-12500 too. What do you think about its performance?

Both processors perform quite similarly in gaming, but the i5-12600 has some advantages like DDR5 support and PCIe 5.0. However, the i5-12500 is still a great choice for most gamers.

That's helpful to know! So, does anyone have experience with the i5-12500 or any suggestions?

I've been using the i5-12500 in my gaming PC for about a month now. It works fine for me, but I can't really compare it to the i5-12600 since they're pretty similar. @mbarrado had some good points about the i5-12600 though.

Yeah, I see what you mean. So, are there any significant differences in terms of gaming performance between these two?

As I mentioned earlier, both processors provide good gaming performance. The main difference is that the i5-12600 supports DDR5 and PCIe 5.0, which can give you a slight edge in some situations.

Thanks for all the input! I think I'll go with the i5-12600 based on your experiences and its additional features. Good to know it performs well in gaming.
