Yeah, @Minime1251 mentioned a great resource Which Chipsets Work With Intel's Core i3-9100 CPU?! I've used the Z370 chipset with my i3-9100 and it's been working fine. The performance is decent for home office use.

Hi @joshuaeckroth! I've heard that the Z370 chipset works well with the i3-9100. You can check out this TechReviewer article for more details Which Chipsets Work With Intel's Core i3-9100 CPU?. The H370 and B360 are also good options.

Solution

I recently got an H310 motherboard with my i3-9100 CPU and it's been serving me well so far. It's more budget-friendly than the Z370 or H370 options.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm leaning towards the B360 chipset now. What about memory compatibility? I've heard mixed things.

The i3-9100 should be compatible with most DDR4 modules, so you shouldn't have any issues with memory on a B360 chipset board.

I agree with @Minime1251, the i3-9100 is pretty flexible when it comes to memory. Just make sure to check the motherboard's specs for maximum RAM support.

Great, thanks! I appreciate the advice. I think I'll go ahead and order a B360 chipset board now.
