I've read a detailed comparison article about these two CPUs on TechReviewer Intel Core i3-12100F vs. Intel Core i5-10400. They provide some insights that could help you decide which one to go for based on your specific needs.

Hi @AjEschylus! I've used both of those CPUs in my PC, and they both have their pros and cons. For gaming, the Core i3-12100F is great if you don't need a ton of power. It has fewer cores but still manages to deliver good performance with a high-performance CPU cooler.

That's true, @SouperFoe. I've been using the Core i5-10400 for a while now and it's decent for gaming too. The higher core count helps when playing games that require more resources, like some open-world RPGs or strategy titles.

Thanks for the input! So in terms of gaming performance, would you say the i3-12100F is better suited for lighter games, while the i5-10400 is better for more resource-intensive games?

Exactly, @AjEschylus. It all depends on your gaming preferences and the types of titles you usually play.

Yeah, @alexalextan55, that TechReviewer article is quite helpful. It covers everything from core counts and frequencies to PCIe support and overclocking capabilities. Worth a read if you're still undecided!

Thanks for sharing the link, @alexalextan55! I'll definitely check it out. I guess it really comes down to my personal preferences and the types of games I want to play.

That's right, @AjEschylus. It's always good to do some research and find what works best for you. In the end, it's all about enjoying your gaming experience!

Agreed, @SouperFoe. Don't forget to consider other factors too, like price, compatibility with your motherboard, and availability of cooling solutions.

Good point, @JeffSchrembs. I'll take all that into consideration before making my final decision. Thanks for the advice everyone!
