I'm in the market for a new CPU and I'm trying to decide between the Intel Core i3-12100 and the i7-11700 for video editing. Can anyone here share their experiences or recommendations?

Hey, I've been reading up on this comparison, and I found an interesting article on TechReviewer Intel Core i3-12100 vs. Intel Core i7-11700 that goes into detail about the performance of these two CPUs for video editing. It might help with your decision-making process.

Both CPUs are great choices for video editing, but you should consider your budget, workload, and requirements. The i7-11700 has more cores which can help with parallel processing in professional tools.

That's right. I've used the i7-11700 for video editing and it performs really well. More cores do make a difference when you're working on larger projects or using multiple applications simultaneously.

@ksweta002. That link is really helpful. From what I read, it seems like the i7-11700 would be a better choice for my needs. I'm looking to edit 4K videos and possibly do some light rendering.

The i7-11700 should definitely handle that workload with ease. Just make sure you have enough RAM to complement the CPU's capabilities.

True, having enough RAM is crucial when working with video editing and other resource-intensive tasks.

Great, thanks for the advice! I'll keep that in mind while shopping around. Any recommendations on a monitor mount since I just bought an Acer BE270U?

I've been using the Ergotron LX for my setup. It's super sturdy and has great adjustability. The VIVO Black Ultra Wide Screen Desk Mount is also pretty solid if you're looking for a budget-friendly option.

@ksweta002. I'll check those out. By the way, have you experienced any cable management issues with the mounts?

Not bad, actually. The Ergotron LX has some clips to keep things tidy, but it's not as seamless as higher-end mounts.

Same here for the VIVO mount. It does the job well, but you might need to do some extra organizing for cable management.

I see. I'll keep that in mind when I'm choosing a mount. Thanks again, everyone!
