I was wondering if anyone has any experience using an Intel chipset with an AMD Ryzen 5 3400G processor? I'm looking to build a system and want to make sure I'm making the right decision.

Hi @ZoomFresh, I recently built my computer with the Ryzen 5 3400G, and it's working great! You can use Intel chipsets like X470, B450, and B350 with the AMD Ryzen 5 3400G processor. Check out this TechReviewer article for more details: Which Chipsets Work With AMD's Ryzen 5 3400G CPU?.

Thanks for the info, @cryptolaxy. The article was very helpful. I was considering the B450 chipset, but now I'm torn between that and X470. Any suggestions?

Both chipsets are good options, but if you want more features and future upgrade potential, go for the X470. That being said, the B450 is still a solid choice and offers great value for the money.

I've used both chipsets before, and I agree with @michaelnabil. The X470 offers better performance and additional features, but the B450 is more budget-friendly. It really depends on your specific needs and budget. Good luck with your build!

Hey guys, just a heads up - I was considering the B550 chipset as well, but I found out it's not compatible with the Ryzen 5 3400G. Might be something to keep in mind if you're thinking about going that route.

Oh, thanks for the tip @KaffeeNoire. That's good to know. So, between X470 and B450, I guess I'll have to do some more research on which one would suit my needs best.

No problem, @ZoomFresh. Just make sure you double-check compatibility with your other components before making a final decision. Good luck with your build!

Yes, and don't forget to read reviews and check out user experiences online. It'll give you a better idea of what to expect from each chipset.

Absolutely. There's no harm in doing some extra research before making such an important investment. Take your time and make the best choice for your situation.

Thanks, everyone. I appreciate all the advice and information you've shared. I'll definitely do some more digging and figure out which chipset is right for me. Have a great day!
