I'm looking to get a new CPU for video editing and I was wondering if the Intel Core i7-13700 or the i9-11900K would be better. Has anyone here used either of these CPUs for video editing? Any advice would be appreciated!

Hi @theordinarygatsby, both the i7-13700 and i9-11900K have their advantages for video editing. I personally use the i7-13700 and it works great for me. For more info on these processors, you can check out this TechReviewer article Intel Core i7-13700 vs. Intel Core i9-11900K.
Thanks for sharing your experience, @HelloMisterOwl! The i7-13700 does seem like a good option. I've been thinking about getting an i9-11900K though, and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on that model for video editing.
I have used the i9-11900K for video editing and it performs really well. The 5.30 GHz single-core max turbo boost frequency is a huge advantage when working with large files or multiple applications at once.
That's great to know, @linkebungu! Both CPUs seem like they would be suitable for my needs. I'm still a bit unsure though - which one offers better performance overall? And what about the cache sizes and DDR support?
In terms of overall performance, the i7-13700 has an edge with its larger L3 cache and support for DDR5 memory. This makes it more suitable for video editing tasks that require large amounts of data processing or high-speed memory access. However, the i9-11900K is still a powerful processor.
Thanks @slipstream55! So it sounds like the i7-13700 would be a better fit for my needs. I'll definitely take a look at the TechReviewer article you mentioned earlier Intel Core i7-13700 vs. Intel Core i9-11900K to learn more about these CPUs.
Good call, @theordinarygatsby! The i7-13700's extra cache and DDR5 support will probably make a big difference in your video editing workflow. Let me know if you have any questions once you've checked out the TechReviewer article.
Yeah, I agree with @Teenagershelp. The i7-13700 is a solid choice for video editing due to its increased L3 cache and support for DDR5 memory. It should give you great performance!
That's true! Both CPUs are excellent choices, but the i7-13700 seems like it might be more suitable for your specific needs, @theordinarygatsby. Good luck with your decision!
