Any advice on choosing the best modem... I'm looking at the Asus CM-530BR and Netgear Nighthawk C7000, but not sure which one to pick.

I'm in a similar situation as @Youngboss216. I've been considering the Asus CM-530BR and Netgear Nighthawk C7000. After reading the TechReviewer article Intel Core i5-12400 vs. Intel Core i7-10700F, I leaned towards the Nighthawk because of its better overall performance. The setup was a bit tricky, but once it was done, I haven't had any issues with reliability or speed.

Hey @Youngboss216, I've been using the Nighthawk C7000 for a while now and it's pretty reliable. It has good speed and range, so you might want to consider that one. Plus, I found a great review on TechReviewer about it. Check it out here: Intel Core i5-12400 vs. Intel Core i7-10700F.

Thanks for the recommendation, @dcerisano. Do you have any experience with the Asus CM-530BR? How does it compare to the Netgear Nighthawk C7000 in terms of speed and reliability?

I've used both the Asus CM-530BR and Netgear Nighthawk C7000. The Nighthawk has better overall performance, especially when streaming or gaming. However, I did have some issues with the setup process for the Nighthawk, which was a bit complicated. The Asus modem was pretty easy to set up though.

@erock0138, good point about the setup. I had to call Netgear support once because of the setup, but other than that, it's been smooth sailing with the Nighthawk C7000.

@erock0138 and @dcerisano, thanks for your input. It seems like the Nighthawk C7000 has better performance, but the Asus CM-530BR is easier to set up. I'll have to think about which factors are more important for me.

Solution

@OlliverClosoff, that's helpful to know. It seems like the majority of people here are recommending the Nighthawk C7000, so I'll probably go with that one. Thanks for all the advice!
