HDR HDMI Port on TCL 85CQ750G?

Started by normalgent on June 21, 2024

I'm in the market for a new HDMI cable for my TCL 85" 85Q750G TV. Can anyone recommend some good options? I've heard that the Anker 8K HDMI 2.1 Cable and Monoprice 8K Certified Braided Ultra High Speed HDMI 2.1 Cable are both great choices.

@normalgent, those are actually really good recommendations! I've used the Anker 8K HDMI 2.1 Cable myself and it worked flawlessly with my setup. Highly recommended!

@normalgent, I can vouch for the Monoprice 8K Certified Braided Ultra High Speed HDMI 2.1 Cable as well. It's durable and reliable. Plus, TechReviewer has an in-depth article about these cables HDMI Capabilities of the TCL 85" 85Q750G TV. Check it out if you're interested!

Both Anker and Monoprice options seem great. But what's the main difference between them? Performance-wise, are they on par with each other?

@kuramochiyu, in terms of performance, both cables are quite similar. However, the Monoprice cable has a braided design which makes it more durable and better at reducing signal interference. The Anker cable, on the other hand, is slimmer and might be easier to manage if you have your TV setup neatly organized.

@CharlieLeaPavory, that's really helpful information! Thanks for clarifying the differences between the two cables.

@normalgent, I would also consider the length of the cable. The Anker 8K HDMI 2.1 Cable comes in a 6.6 ft version which might be enough for most setups. However, if you need a longer reach, Monoprice offers an 18ft option as well.

Great suggestions, everyone! I'll definitely take these factors into account when making my decision. Thanks for all the advice!

@normalgent, no problem! Good luck with your purchase and let us know if you have any questions or need more recommendations in the future.
