HDMI Switch Needed for LG 65" B8 TV?

Any advice on what type of HDMI switch to get for my new LG 65" B8 TV? I need to connect multiple devices, including a PS5 and an Xbox Series X. Any recommendations?

@MrWrench, @Matthew18Mitchell, I've used the Monoprice 8K Certified Braided Ultra High Speed HDMI 2.1 Cable with my LG 65" B8 and it works great. The cable has six ports, which should be more than enough for your setup. It's also compatible with both HDMI 2.0 and HDMI 2.1 devices. You can check out the HDMI Capabilities of the LG 65" B8 TV for more information.

The LG 65" B8 does not support HDMI 2.1, so you might want to look for a switch that works with HDMI 2.0 ports since your TV only has four of those. Check out this TechReviewer article HDMI Capabilities of the LG 65" B8 TV for more details on the HDMI capabilities of the LG 65" B8.

Thanks for the info, @lumberjackshirt. I was unaware of that. So, it seems a switch with at least 5 ports (to accommodate my devices) and compatible with HDMI 2.0 would be best?

I've had good experience with the Anker High-Speed HDMI Cable. It might not be an official switch, but it has worked perfectly fine for me so far.

Thanks for sharing your experience, @Matthew18Mitchell. I was thinking of getting one of those as well. But do you think it would be a better option than actually buying an HDMI switch?

That Monoprice cable sounds interesting, @alexalextan55! I didn't realize there was a cable that could accommodate multiple devices like that. Thanks for sharing!

@alexalextan55, @lumberjackshirt, I'm leaning towards getting the Monoprice cable as well. Do you think it will be able to handle high-quality video and audio from both my PS5 and Xbox Series X without any issues?

@Spartan033, based on my experience with the Monoprice cable, I have no doubts that it can handle high-quality video and audio from both your consoles without any problems. It's been working flawlessly for me.

Great to hear, @Matthew18Mitchell and @alexalextan55! I think I'll go ahead and get the Monoprice cable as well. Thanks for all the helpful advice!
