I'm looking for some advice on HDMI specifications for the Samsung Q60T 75" TV. Can anyone share their thoughts? I've heard mixed things about its capabilities.

Yeah, I agree with @ajapplesauce. The Samsung Q60T has three HDMI 2.0 ports and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. It doesn't support HDMI 2.1 or VRR. However, it does offer eARC functionality with its HDMI 2.1 port. For more details, you can check out this TechReviewer article HDMI Capabilities of the Samsung 75" Q60T TV.

I've been using this TV for a while now and I can tell you that it works great for regular use like watching movies and shows. However, if you're into gaming or high-resolution content, you might face some limitations.

Oh, that's interesting! So is it recommended to use an HDMI 2.1 cable for this TV despite the lack of HDMI 2.1 support?

Thanks for the info, @calixreddit and @ajapplesauce. I'm just trying to decide whether it's worth upgrading my current setup. What are your thoughts on using recommended cables like Anker or Monoprice with this TV?

I've used both of those cables, and they work great! They're a bit more expensive, but the quality is definitely worth the extra cost.

That's true, @ajapplesauce. In general, it's better to invest in good quality cables for optimal performance. And since the Samsung Q60T doesn't support HDMI 2.1, using an HDMI 2.1 cable won't have any additional benefits. It'll still only use the HDMI 2.0 ports.

I see! So even though it's called "HDMI 2.1 Cable", it will work with this TV just like a regular HDMI 2.0 cable?

Exactly, @dazbekzart. The cables are backward compatible, so they'll work fine with the Q60T's HDMI 2.0 ports. It's more about ensuring the build quality and reliability of the cable for better performance.

I appreciate your insights. I think I'll go ahead and get one of those recommended cables. Hopefully, it will improve my overall experience with this TV.

You won't regret it, @leosolon. Enjoy your new cable and let us know if you have any more questions or tips!
