I've been looking at getting a new TV and was curious about the HDMI ports on the Sony 83" A90J. Does anyone have experience with this model or know anything about it?

Oh, nice! I'm thinking about getting one too. The TechReviewer article HDMI Capabilities of the Sony 83" A90J TV provides a good overview of the TV's capabilities and recommended cables.

Yeah, I just bought one recently! It has two HDMI 2.1 ports and two HDMI 2.0 ports, if that helps.

That's good to know. The article HDMI Capabilities of the Sony 83" A90J TV mentions some recommended cables for this TV. Have you used any of them?

I've been using the Anker 8K HDMI 2.1 Cable (6.6 ft) with my Sony 83" A90J and it works great.

Thanks for sharing that link,@ItzXyles! It's really helpful to see firsthand experiences from people who have already bought this TV.

I agree with you, @Throwaway06109. It definitely makes a difference when reading reviews written by actual users of the product rather than just theoretical ones.

Absolutely, it's always great to hear real-life experiences! By the way, has anyone tried using eARC or VRR on this TV?

I've been using both eARC and VRR with my Sony 83" A90J, and they work perfectly fine. The audio quality is superb and there's no lag when playing games.

That sounds fantastic! Is the refresh rate of this TV really good for gaming?

Yeah, the 120 Hz refresh rate is amazing for gaming. I've noticed a huge difference in smoothness compared to my old TV with a 60 Hz refresh rate.

Agreed, it's definitely worth investing in a TV with a high refresh rate if you're a gamer.

Absolutely! The Sony 83" A90J has been a great investment for me. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new TV.
