Any advice on the best HDMI cable length for my new LG 65" C2 TV? I want to connect it to a soundbar and some gaming consoles.

@DemonheadClash The TechReviewer article HDMI Capabilities of the LG 65" C2 TV discusses how HDMI cables longer than 15ft can be used with your LG 65" C2 TV, although there may be some performance limitations. The optimal cable length is typically around 10-15ft for the best results.

@JoeyTheKax The ideal HDMI cable length for your LG 65" C2 TV would be around 10-15 feet. This ensures you have enough room to place your devices comfortably without compromising on the quality of the connection.

I used a 20-foot HDMI cable with my LG C2 and it worked fine, but I'd recommend using a cable management solution to keep everything organized.

Solution

Thanks for the input everyone. I'll go with a 12-foot cable to give me enough room without being too long. @PresJohnnyGentle, does this mean that if I use a 20-foot cable, there might be some slight lag or quality issues?

@JoeyTheKax There could be potential performance limitations, such as slightly higher latency and possibly less accurate color reproduction when using an HDMI cable longer than 15 feet. However, for most users, the impact on overall picture and sound quality is minimal.

I'd agree with @PresJohnnyGentle. For most people, using a cable that's too long won't make much of a difference. But if you're planning to play competitive games or watch high-quality content frequently, it might be worth investing in a shorter cable for better performance.

That makes sense. I'll go with the 12-foot HDMI cable then. Thanks again!
