G.Skill Trident Z Royal & i9-14900 Performance?

Started by erickwookie on July 11, 2024

I'm looking to upgrade my CPU and I was thinking about getting an Intel Core i9-14900. Anyone have experience with it or suggestions for RAM that would pair well?

@erickwookie, I'm currently using an i9-14900 with G.Skill Trident Z Royal DDR5 RAM. The combo has given me no issues at all and it runs everything smoothly. You can check out more details about it in this TechReviewer article Best RAM for the Intel Core i9-14900 CPU. As for compatibility, the i9-14900 is compatible with both DDR4 and DDR5 RAM modules.

The i9-14900 is a beast of a CPU! I've been using one for a few months now, and the performance improvement over my previous processor has been staggering.

Wow, that's awesome! I was specifically looking into G.Skill products, so that's really reassuring to hear. Thanks for sharing your experience, @ksweta002.

I've also had a great experience with the i9-14900 and Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 RAM. The combo has been working well for me in both gaming and content creation. It's worth considering if you're on a budget or don't need the extra speed of DDR5.

@erickwookie, I'm glad to hear that you've found some options to consider! Both G.Skill and Corsair RAMs are reputable brands, so you can't go wrong with either choice. Just make sure to check compatibility with your motherboard before purchasing.

That's true, @lightyear44. Also, if you're interested in overclocking capabilities, the G.Skill Trident Z5 Royal DDR5 RAM is another great option to look into. I've heard great things about its performance.

Thanks for all the input, everyone! It's really helpful. I think I'll start by looking at the G.Skill options you mentioned, @ksweta002 and @PicardToBridge. Once I have more information on compatibility with my motherboard, I can make a better-informed decision.
