Started by fitfreak683 on June 12, 2024

I've been trying to decide between the Gigabyte G32QC and MSI G32CQ4 monitors, but I can't seem to find a definitive answer on which one is better for gaming. Can anyone provide some insights or recommendations based on their experience with these monitors?

Thanks for all the feedback! It seems like both monitors have their pros and cons, and I'll need to weigh them against my specific needs and preferences. The TechReviewer article Gigabyte 31.5" G32QC A vs. MSI 32" G32CQ4 also provided useful insights on other aspects of these monitors that I didn't consider before.

Both monitors have similar specifications like 165Hz refresh rate, VA panel type, and resolution of 2560 x 1440. I have personally used the Gigabyte G32QC, and it offers slightly better color coverage at 93% DCI-P3 compared to MSI's G32CQ4 at 92% DCI-P3.

@ManicPixieDreams has a point about the color coverage difference, but response time is another crucial factor to consider when choosing a monitor for gaming. Both monitors have a response time of 1ms, which ensures smooth motion and minimal ghosting. Thanks for the input! I've been leaning towards the MSI G32CQ4 due to its smaller size, but I'm not sure if it's worth sacrificing higher color coverage for a slightly larger screen. Any suggestions?

I'd say it depends on your personal preferences and needs. If you need more space for multiple applications or a wider field of view while gaming, the Gigabyte G32QC might be a better choice. On the other hand, if you have limited desk space and prioritize color accuracy, the MSI G32CQ4 could be more suitable.

I recently bought the MSI G32CQ4, and I'm quite satisfied with it so far. The color accuracy is great for my graphic design work, and it doesn't feel too large on my desk. However, I can understand how the larger screen of the Gigabyte G32QC could be appealing to some users.
