I'm planning to mount my new Samsung 75" Q60C TV on the wall and I'm unsure whether to go for a full-motion or fixed mount. Has anyone had experience with either? Any recommendations?
Full-Motion vs Fixed Mount for Samsung 75" Q60C TV?
Started by RuinousMarmalade on June 13, 2024
Hi @RuinousMarmalade, I recently mounted my Samsung 75" Q60C using a SANUS Extra Large TV Wall Mount, which is a full-motion wall mount. It offers a lot of flexibility in terms of viewing angles and can be mounted in corners or recessed areas. The installation was relatively straightforward, but it did take some time compared to fixed mounts. I would recommend checking out this TechReviewer article Best Wall Mounts for the Samsung 75" Q60C TV for more information on choosing the right wall mount for your TV.
Thanks for the input, @Sampledoubt. After reading through the article you mentioned, I've narrowed down my choices to either the SANUS Extra Large TV Wall Mount or a fixed mount. Can anyone share their experiences with either of these?
Hi @RuinousMarmalade, I went with a fixed mount for my Samsung 75" Q60C TV and have been quite happy with it. The installation was much quicker compared to the full-motion wall mounts, and I find that it's perfectly fine for how I watch TV. However, if you need more flexibility in terms of viewing angles or want to mount your TV in a corner, a full-motion mount like the SANUS Extra Large TV Wall Mount might be worth considering.
That's helpful, @ECHOtheSound. It seems that both options have their advantages and disadvantages. I'm still unsure which one to go with. Any other experiences or recommendations?
Hey @RuinousMarmalade, I've used a USX MOUNT Full Motion TV Wall Mount for my Samsung 75" Q60C, and it worked great for me. It's affordable, easy to install, and offers good flexibility in terms of viewing angles. If you don't mind spending a bit more time on the installation process, I would recommend giving this mount a try.
Thanks @iosifache. It seems like the full-motion mounts provide more flexibility, but may require more time for installation. What about maintenance and longevity? Are they reliable in the long run?
Hi @RuinousMarmalade, both fixed and full-motion mounts can be quite durable if you choose a good quality product. Maintenance-wise, I didn't encounter any issues with my SANUS Extra Large TV Wall Mount over time. It still works perfectly fine, and the flexibility it offers is something I really appreciate.
Similar experience here, @RuinousMarmalade. My fixed mount for the Samsung 75" Q60C has been reliable and hasn't required any maintenance so far. It's important to remember that you'll need to consider your specific needs when deciding between a full-motion or fixed mount.
Based on your experiences, it seems like I have a decision to make based on my viewing habits and preferences. I'll probably spend some more time researching these mounts and their compatibility with the Samsung 75" Q60C. Any other tips you'd like to share?
One last tip, @RuinousMarmalade, is to ensure that whichever mount you choose is compatible with your TV's VESA size and weight. The TechReviewer article I mentioned earlier has a list of recommended wall mounts for the Samsung 75" Q60C, which should help make your decision easier.
Thanks again, @Sampledoubt. I'll definitely check out that article once more to see if there are any other recommendations that might be suitable for my needs. Have a great day!
