I recently bought a Sceptre E248W-1920 monitor and was wondering if I need a full-motion stand or if another type of mount would be suitable. Any suggestions?
Full-Motion Stand Necessary for Sceptre E248W-1920?

Welcome to the forum! A full-motion stand can be a great addition for your Sceptre E248W-1920, but it's not always necessary. It really depends on what you need and your budget. Here's a TechReviewer article Monitor Mounts & Stands for Sceptre's 24" E248W-1920 that discusses different types of mounts for this monitor, including full-motion stands.
I used a C-clamp mount with my Sceptre E248W-1920 and found it to work well enough. It was affordable and easy to install, but I did need to adjust my desk setup slightly to accommodate the width of the clamp.
Thanks for the input! The full-motion stand seems like a nice luxury, but I might start with something more budget-friendly like the C-clamp mount mentioned by @bastibraune. What are your thoughts on grommet mounts?
I've used a grommet mount before and it worked well. They offer better stability than C-clamps and can support heavier monitors. However, they do require drilling a hole in your desk if one isn't already present, which can be a downside for some people.
That's good to know! I was worried about the stability of the C-clamp since my desk is glass. Do grommet mounts work well on glass desks?
Yes, grommet mounts can work well on glass desks as long as you have a pre-drilled hole or are willing to drill one. They're known for their sturdiness and compatibility with various types of desks, including glass ones.
I've also used a wall-mount with my Sceptre E248W-1920, and it worked great for keeping my desk clutter-free. The installation can be a bit more involved, but the results are worth it in terms of aesthetics and space-saving.
Those are all good options! I appreciate everyone's input. I think I'll start by trying out a C-clamp mount like @bastibraune suggested and see how it goes. If it doesn't work for me, I can always try another type of mount in the future.
That sounds like a reasonable plan. Remember to check out the TechReviewer article Monitor Mounts & Stands for Sceptre's 24" E248W-1920 for more information on different mounts for your Sceptre E248W-1920 monitor. Good luck with your setup!
