Fixed or Full Motion Mount for ViewSonic VG3448?

Started by Steve8909 on May 05, 2024

I'm in the market for a monitor mount for my new ViewSonic VG3448. I'm trying to decide between a fixed or full motion mount. Has anyone had experience with either type on this specific monitor?

I've used both types of mounts with my ViewSonic VG3448, and I can tell you that the choice really depends on your needs. Fixed mounts offer stability and a clean look, while full motion mounts give you more flexibility in terms of viewing angles and adjustments. The TechReviewer article Monitor Mounts & Stands for ViewSonic's 34" VG3448 discusses this in more detail.

Solution

I've used a full motion mount for my ViewSonic VG3448, and it's been great! The adjustable height, tilt, and swivel features have made it easier to find the most comfortable viewing position. Plus, the cable management feature has kept things tidy. However, I did face some difficulty in setting up the mount initially.

I prefer a fixed mount for my ViewSonic VG3448. It provides a clutter-free look and keeps my desk organized. The stability is great, especially when watching videos or playing games. But it lacks the adjustability of a full motion mount.

Thanks for sharing your experiences! It sounds like both types have their pros and cons. I'll definitely check out the TechReviewer article you mentioned, @livewithrichard, to get more insight into my decision. Any recommendations on specific models that work well with the VG3448?

Based on your preferences, @Steve8909, it might be helpful to consider a full motion mount if you value flexibility and ease of use. However, if you prefer a clean and stable look, then a fixed mount could be more suitable. As for specific models, the TechReviewer article I mentioned earlier should provide some good options.

If I were in your shoes, @Steve8909, I would go with a full motion mount for the ViewSonic VG3448. The added flexibility is worth it, especially when you're using the monitor for extended periods. And if setting up the mount is difficult, you can always ask a friend for help or watch some online tutorials.

That's true, @plisskenjones. A full motion mount does offer more convenience in terms of adjustability. But if you prefer a minimalist and organized desk, a fixed mount might be the better choice. Ultimately, it comes down to personal preference and your specific needs.

Thanks for all the input, everyone! I'll read up on the TechReviewer article and try to decide which type of mount would suit me best. If anyone has any other tips or recommendations, feel free to share.

No problem, @Steve8909! Just remember that both types of mounts have their advantages and disadvantages, so take your time in making a decision. Good luck with your search!
