Fast DDR4 RAM for Intel Core i5-13600K?

Started by happytotoro on May 15, 2024

I'm in the market for some new RAM to go with my newly acquired Intel Core i5-13600K CPU. I've been reading up on the best options and was wondering if anyone could give me some recommendations? I'm looking for something that's both fast and reliable.

Hey @happytotoro, did you check out the TechReviewer article for the best RAM options for your CPU? They've done a thorough analysis of various options, including the Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB DDR5 and G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB DDR5. The link is Best RAM for the Intel Core i5-13600K CPU.

I've recently purchased a Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4 RAM with a clock speed of 3200 MHz. It has been working great with my Intel Core i5-13600K. The performance is quite good, and it's not too expensive.

@benjavision. I'll check it out! What about you, @agresticoak, have you tried any other RAM besides the Corsair Vengeance LPX? Are there any other options that might be worth considering?

That's a good question. While the Corsair Vengeance LPX has been great, I've heard positive things about the G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB DDR5 6000 MHz RAM. It's a bit more expensive, but it's known for its overclocking capabilities and performance.

Another option to consider is the Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB DDR5 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) 5600 MHz RAM. It has a slightly lower clock speed than the G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB, but it still provides excellent performance for the Intel Core i5-13600K CPU.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I'm leaning towards either the G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB or the Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB. Any advice on which one to go for?

@happytotoro, it really depends on your specific needs and budget. Both options are great, but if you're looking for an overclockable option with a higher clock speed, I'd recommend the G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB. However, if you prefer stock-speed DDR5 RAM or want to save some money, the Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB is also a solid choice.

Thanks again, everyone. I'll take some time to weigh my options and make a decision. Appreciate all your input!

You're welcome, @happytotoro. Good luck with your RAM selection! Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any more questions.
