For the Ryzen 9 5900X, you can use dual-channel or triple-channel RAM since the CPU supports DDR4 memory speeds up to 3200 MHz. However, it's important to match your RAM's speed, capacity, and compatibility with your motherboard's specifications. Solution

@newasianinvestor. I'm mainly a gamer, so what RAM would you recommend for the best gaming performance?

For gaming, I'd suggest going with at least 16 GB of DDR4 RAM. Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) 3600 MHz DDR4 is an excellent option if you want to overclock your memory. If you prefer a stock speed, the same company offers a 3200 MHz version.

That sounds great! How do I make sure the RAM is compatible with my CPU and motherboard?

Make sure to check your motherboard's manual or manufacturer website for compatibility information. The RAM should match both the CPU and motherboard's supported memory generations, speed, and capacity. Also, don't forget to consider latency and timings.

Thanks for the advice, @Patrick14 and @newasianinvestor. I'll look into those Corsair Vengeance LPX options.

Just a note that I've had good experiences with G.Skill Ripjaws V series as well. The 32 GB (4 x 8 GB) DDR4 3200 MHz is a reliable option for gaming and daily tasks.

@EverythingIsFine3. Now I'm torn between Corsair and G.Skill. What are the main differences?

Both Corsair Vengeance LPX and G.Skill Ripjaws V series RAMs provide excellent performance. However, the main differences lie in their timings, heat sinks, and design. You should check customer reviews for more personalized opinions.

Thanks for all the help! I'll do some more research and make my decision based on compatibility and performance.

Don't forget to consider your budget and what features are most important to you when choosing RAM. Good luck!
