Does Sony 27" INZONE M3 Response Time Affect Gaming Performance?

Started by Pseudo-SteadyState on June 02, 2024

I'm looking for a new gaming monitor and I came across the Sony 27" INZONE M3. Does anyone have experience with it or know if the response time affects gaming performance significantly? Any input would be appreciated.

@BillFromAccounting7 The overall gaming experience is not solely dependent on the response time or refresh rate. While these aspects are important, you should also consider other factors like screen size, resolution, panel type (IPS, TN, or VA), and build quality. The TechReviewer article Is the Sony 27" INZONE M3 Good for Gaming? I mentioned earlier discusses some of these factors in detail. It's best to weigh your preferences and requirements before making a decision.

Hi @Pseudo-SteadyState, I've been using the Sony 27" INZONE M3 for a while now and can say that it's an excellent monitor for gaming. The response time of 1 ms makes a huge difference in smoothness, especially during fast-paced games. I came across this TechReviewer article about response times Is the Sony 27" INZONE M3 Good for Gaming? which was quite informative. It explains how lower response times result in smoother images with less ghosting, and that can make all the difference when you're in the heat of battle!

That's great to know, @shmoopsie. I've always thought a high refresh rate is more important than response time, but it looks like having both could be an awesome combination.

@shmoopsie, @Joaolicia Thanks for your feedback! It seems the response time does play a significant role in gaming performance. I'll definitely check out that TechReviewer article you mentioned, @shmoopsie.

I've also been using the Sony 27" INZONE M3 for a couple of months now, and I agree with @shmoopsie, it's fantastic. The 240 Hz refresh rate combined with the 1 ms response time is perfect for my FPS games. You won't be disappointed!

I'm considering this monitor but want to know if it's worth the investment. Are there any other factors besides the response time and refresh rate that I should consider?
