@EDcrooklyn The TechReviewer article LG 27" 27UL650-W vs. LG 27" 27UK650-W also discusses other factors such as response time and resolution that may affect gaming performance. It's worth considering these aspects along with the refresh rate when making your decision.

Both monitors have a refresh rate of 60 Hz, which means they update the image on the screen 60 times per second. This should provide smooth visuals for most gaming and general use scenarios.

For a more detailed comparison, you can check out this TechReviewer article LG 27" 27UL650-W vs. LG 27" 27UK650-W. It provides an in-depth analysis of these two monitors, including their refresh rates and other key features.

@dcerisano I know 60 Hz is the standard, but are there any downsides to it? And what's the best option for gaming?

I've used a 144 Hz monitor before and noticed the difference in smoothness during fast-paced games. 60 Hz can feel a bit laggy in comparison, especially in first-person shooters or racing games.

@effervescentadolesce That makes sense. So, would you recommend getting a higher refresh rate monitor for gaming?

It depends on your budget and the type of games you play. If you can afford it and enjoy fast-paced games, a higher refresh rate monitor like a 144 Hz or even 240 Hz one could provide a more immersive experience.

@megastorecentral Thanks for the suggestion! I'll definitely check out the article. What are some downsides to getting a higher refresh rate monitor?

Higher refresh rate monitors can be more expensive, and you may need a more powerful graphics card to fully utilize the higher refresh rates. Additionally, the difference in smoothness might not be noticeable for everyone, especially if they haven't experienced it before.

@effervescentadolesce That's good to know. I'll keep those factors in mind while making my decision. Thanks for your help!

You're welcome! Good luck with your choice, and let us know how you like the monitor once you get it.

Will do! Have a great day everyone!
