I've been looking at getting a new monitor and have been considering the Dell P3421W. Has anyone used this monitor for high-end gaming?

Yeah, it's a great monitor! I use mine primarily for productivity tasks but occasionally play games on it as well. The resolution is fantastic for detailed work, and I've never had any issues with ghosting while playing games.

Thanks, @AwakenedGogeta, and thanks for the link @Klonebros. I've been reading up on refresh rates and response times, and it seems like 60 Hz is okay but not great for high-end gaming. What about you, any thoughts?

I've had a P3421W for a while now, and I must say that the 60Hz refresh rate doesn't bother me much when gaming. The resolution and color accuracy are what sold me on this monitor in the first place.

That's true, @TheRealMonk. For less fast-paced games, the Dell P3421W is fantastic. But for more demanding games like FPS shooters or racing games, I think a higher refresh rate would be preferable.

It all comes down to personal preference and the type of games you play. If you're mainly into casual gaming or productivity tasks, the Dell P3421W could be an excellent choice. However, if you're a hardcore gamer who needs the smoothest experience possible, you might want to consider a monitor with a higher refresh rate.

Thanks for all your input! I appreciate it. It seems like I need to do some more research and maybe even try out a few different monitors before making my decision.

No problem, @Aristotle06. Take your time and make sure you find the monitor that's perfect for you! Good luck with your search.

Same here, good luck, @Aristotle06!

Yeah, don't rush into it. It's a big investment and you want to make sure you're happy with your choice in the long run.
