I'm looking to buy a desk mount or an articulating arm for my new Dell 27" S2721QS monitor, but I can't decide which one would be better. Can you guys recommend me something based on your experience?

Monitor Mounts & Stands for Dell's 27" S2721QS Here's a detailed comparison of desk mounts and articulating arms for the Dell 27" S2721QS monitor that TechReviewer did recently. It covers various aspects like weight capacity, adjustability, VESA compatibility, and more. I found it really helpful when choosing my setup.

I've used an articulating arm with my monitor before and I must say, it's quite versatile. You can adjust the height and angle to your liking pretty easily. Plus, they tend to take up less desk space compared to a traditional mount. However, they might be a bit more expensive than regular desk mounts.

I've had good experiences with desk mounts for my monitors. They're generally sturdy, offer plenty of stability, and don't take up too much room on the desk. The only downside is that sometimes you need to drill holes in your desk for installation, which can be a bit of a hassle.

That's a great point about drilling holes, @maek0815. Also, it might depend on the type of desk you have. If you have a glass or thin desk, using a desk mount could potentially damage your desk over time. An articulating arm might be a better choice in that case.

Thanks for the input everyone! So, if I want to go with an articulating arm, what are some good options out there? And for desk mounts as well?

I've used the Ergotron HX Single Ultrawide Monitor Desk Mount and it worked great for my Dell monitor. It's a bit pricey but offers excellent adjustability and stability. The VIVO Black Ultra Wide Screen Desk Mount is also worth considering. It's more affordable and still provides good quality.

For desk mounts, I've been using the HUANUO Single Monitor Stand Desk Mount and it's served me well. It's quite sturdy and has a nice clamp that fits most desks without needing to drill holes. The AVLT Single Monitor Arm Desk Mount is another option you might want to look at.

Thanks for the recommendations! I'll definitely check out those options. I guess it really depends on my desk type and personal preference.
