I've been using the Crucial P5 Plus 2TB for a while now, and I must say it's fantastic for gaming! The high read/ to learn more about its performance in eSports. I'd highly recommend it!
That's a great point, @riveroaken. I've been using the P5 Plus 2TB for months, and I can vouch for its excellent performance in games like Overwatch and Rainbow Six Siege. The quick load times really make a difference when trying to get that last win before bedtime.
I'm considering this drive for my new gaming PC build, but I'm worried about the cost. Has anyone found it worth the investment?
In my experience, @vivalahudak, the P5 Plus 2TB is definitely worth the investment. The improved performance in games like Apex Legends and Fortnite makes up for the cost. Besides, SSDs last longer than HDDs, so you'll save money on replacements in the long run.
Thanks for the advice! I'm sold on the idea of getting this drive. One more question, though: Does anyone know if it's compatible with NVIDIA's SLI technology? I'm using a GTX 970 SLI setup and want to make sure everything will work smoothly.
Hey @DaleCo0per, I just wanted to chime in here because I've been using the Crucial P5 Plus 2TB with my SLI setup, and it works flawlessly! The TechReviewer article Is the Crucial P5 Plus 2 TB Good for Gaming? that @riveroaken mentioned discusses this. It's a great drive for eSports performance and won't give you any issues with SLI.
That's good to hear, @AtYourOwnRisk. I was worried about compatibility since I've heard some mixed things about SSDs and SLI. Now I'm feeling more confident in my decision!
Awesome! Thanks for the input, everyone. This has helped me a lot in making my decision on which SSD to go with for my new PC build.
Likewise! I appreciate all the advice and support from this community. I'll be sure to share my experience with the P5 Plus 2TB once I've got it installed and started gaming!
