I'm looking to buy RAM for my new AMD Ryzen 5 2600 build. Has anyone tried the Crucial Ballistix Sport LT? I've been hearing mixed reviews and was wondering if it's worth it for this CPU.
Crucial Ballistix Sport LT for Ryzen 5 2600 - Good Choice?

I haven't personally used the Crucial Ballistix Sport LT, but I remember reading a TechReviewer article about RAM options for Ryzen 5 2600 users. The best RAM options were Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 2933 MHz and Corsair Vengeance LPX 3600 MHz due to their superior performance, speed, and compatibility with the specific CPU and motherboard requirements. Here's the link to that article: Best RAM for the AMD Ryzen 5 2600 CPU.
Thanks for the info, @newcoder12. I'll definitely check out those options. But what about the Crucial Ballistix Sport LT? Any experience or thoughts on it?
I actually have some experience with the Crucial Ballistix Sport LT RAM. I used it in my previous build and it worked fine, but I later upgraded to a Corsair Vengeance LPX 3600 MHz RAM for better performance. The Ballistix Sport LT is compatible with Ryzen 5 2600, but you might want to consider the Corsair options mentioned by @newcoder12 for better speed and reliability.
That's helpful, @EskeetmoJoe. Thanks for sharing your experience. It seems like the Corsair Vengeance RAM is the way to go then. I'll check them out and see which one suits my needs best.
I've also used the Ballistix Sport LT with my Ryzen 5 2600 and didn't face any issues, but I did notice a slight improvement in performance when I switched to a faster RAM like the Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro. It's worth testing both and seeing which one works better for you.
Good to know, @benjavision. I'll probably order a couple of options and do some benchmarking to see which one gives me better performance in my specific use case.
Sounds like a plan, @ToastySand. Just remember that the Crucial Ballistix Sport LT is a decent choice for a budget-friendly option, but if you want the best performance, you might want to go with something more high-end like the Corsair Vengeance options mentioned earlier. Good luck with your build!
