Hey @SocialFreedomCat, it should work fine in a laptop if it supports M.2 NVMe SSDs and has an available slot. For the external use, you might need a compatible enclosure that supports PCIe Gen 4.0 x4 M.2 SSDs.

In addition to what @NattyGoat said, I'd like to mention a TechReviewer article about this topic Is the Corsair MP600 PRO LPX 500 GB Good for Gaming?. It covers how the MP600 PRO LPX 500 GB can improve gaming performance by reducing load times and enhancing responsiveness.

That's really useful information, thanks! So, it should work in my laptop and potentially as an external drive with the right enclosure. I'll definitely check out that article @lumberjackshirt mentioned.

I've been using the MP600 PRO LPX 500 GB for a while now, and I can vouch for its performance in gaming! The reduced load times are a game-changer.

Glad to hear it, @shmoopsie. Have you encountered any issues with compatibility or speed differences when using it as an external drive?

I'm considering this SSD for my new build. How does the lifespan of the MP600 PRO LPX 500 GB compare to other SSDs on the market?

Hey @futureofwar, from what I've read, the expected lifespan is 350 TBW and 1,600,000 hours MTBF. It's important to note that these values are estimates and can be affected by usage patterns, but it should give you an idea of how long you can expect it to last.
