@Kgriffin94, The Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB DDR5-5600 CL40 is actually pretty good for gaming. I've been using it for a while, and I haven't had any issues. The effective frequency of 5600 MHz should provide excellent speed.
As for the CAS latency of 14 ns (CL40), some games might not perform as well due to this ranking poorly among other popular RAM models. But overall, it still offers decent performance in most scenarios.

@Milkopilko, Thanks for sharing the link! I'll definitely check it out. In your personal experience, how does the 14 ns (CL40) CAS latency affect gaming?
I've personally noticed that in some memory-intensive games and applications, the higher latency can cause a slight drop in performance. But for regular gaming, you probably won't notice much of a difference.
That's true. In my experience, the Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB DDR5-5600 CL40 RAM delivers great performance in most games, despite its poor ranking in CAS latency. The high frequency more than makes up for it.
I recently upgraded to this RAM and I'm quite happy with it. My game performance has been excellent and I haven't noticed any issues related to the latency.
@lumberjackshirt @Coolairforceschedule, Thank you both for your input. It's really helpful to hear from people who have used the Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB DDR5-5600 CL40 RAM in their own systems. I'll probably go ahead and purchase it for my new computer.
Great choice! And remember, always make sure you're using the latest drivers for your GPU and CPU to get the most out of your hardware, including the RAM.
Good luck with your new setup, @Kgriffin94! I'm sure you'll be happy with the Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB DDR5-5600 CL40. Just keep an eye on future updates in memory technology and consider upgrading when necessary to stay ahead of the game.
