I've been looking at getting a new CPU and came across the Core i9-13900. Can anyone tell me if it's any good for gaming?
Core i9-13900 Multitasking Impact on Gaming?

Yeah, it's great! I've had mine for about a month now and haven't faced any issues. The performance is impressive.
That's good to hear. @Liolaina did you check out this article on TechReviewer? It goes over the CPU in depth: Is the Core i9-13900 CPU Good for Gaming?
I'll definitely take a look at that. What about multitasking? Is it useful for gaming?
Multitasking can be helpful if you're running multiple applications simultaneously while gaming, like streaming or browsing the web. The Core i9-13900's high core and thread count, as well as its large L3 cache capacity, should make multitasking a breeze.
That makes sense. I usually do have a couple of other things open while playing games. Do you think the lack of overclocking support will be an issue?
The lack of overclocking support might not be a big deal for most gamers, as the CPU still performs well even without it. However, if you're looking to squeeze every last bit of performance out of your rig, then it might be something to consider.
Thanks for the info. I'm leaning towards getting this CPU now. Just one more question - how important is PCIe support in my case?
PCIe support can make a big difference if you're planning on upgrading your GPU or storage in the future. The Core i9-13900's support for PCIe 5.0 means you'll be able to take advantage of faster GPUs and SSDs, which should translate to better overall system performance.
Great, that's good to know. I think I'll go ahead and order this CPU! Thanks everyone for the info.
You're welcome, @SpikeTheGoat! Enjoy your new CPU, and feel free to join our community if you have any questions in the future.
