I'm looking into getting a new CPU and I was wondering what you think about the Core i9-11900K? Has anyone had any experience with it?

Yeah, I've been using one for a few months now. It's really great! I play a lot of games on my PC and haven't noticed any lag or performance issues.
I've heard mixed things about the 11900K. Some people say it's amazing, others say it's overpriced for what you get. What are your thoughts?
I recently read a TechReviewer article Is the Core i9-11900K CPU Good for Gaming? that goes into detail about the i9-11900K's performance and specs. It says that the 8 cores and high turbo boost frequency make it excellent for gaming, but the 16 MB L3 cache is considered mediocre for the latest graphics-intense games.
Thanks for sharing that link @vanessasublime. The article seems to suggest that if I'm mainly going to use my PC for gaming, then the i9-11900K might be a good choice. But what about other activities like video editing or programming?
For video editing and programming, you might want to consider a CPU with more cores and a larger L3 cache. The 11900K's 8 cores should be enough for most tasks, but if you're working with large files or multiple applications at once, you might need something with better multitasking capabilities.
I've been using an AMD Ryzen 9 5950X and it's been great for both gaming and work. It has 16 cores and a larger L3 cache, so it handles multitasking really well. Just something to think about if you're looking for a CPU that can handle more than just gaming.
True, the Ryzen 9 5950X sounds like a great option as well. It's always good to have options when making a decision like this. In my experience, though, the i9-11900K has been more than capable for my gaming needs.
Thanks for all the input everyone! I appreciate it. I think I'll do some more research and maybe even build a PC with different components to see what works best for me.
Good luck! And remember, whatever you choose, make sure you have a good cooling solution so you can overclock if needed.
Definitely! A good cooler is essential for getting the most out of your CPU. Good luck with your build!
Absolutely! And don't forget to enjoy the process of building your PC. It's always an exciting journey.
