I'm considering getting a new gaming PC and have been looking at the Core i9-10950K. I know it's an older model now but still seems to be quite powerful. How does it perform in CPU-intensive games? Any recommendations?

The Core i9-10950K is still a beast of a processor, especially for CPU-intensive games. I've been using one for a while and the performance has been great. You can check out this TechReviewer article Is the Core i9-10850K CPU Good for Gaming? for a more detailed comparison with other models.
I have the same CPU in my gaming PC and it handles most games very well. However, you might want to consider the newer models like the Core i9-11900K if you're looking for the best performance. The difference isn't huge, but it's worth mentioning.
Thanks for the input! I'll take a look at the TechReviewer article Is the Core i9-10850K CPU Good for Gaming? and compare the two. Any thoughts on overclocking potential with this CPU?
The 10950K has great overclocking potential, especially if you have a good cooling solution. I've managed to get mine stable at around 5.1 GHz without any issues. However, be prepared for some heat and noise from the cooler.
@blondeinboise That's impressive! Just make sure your PC case has enough airflow for that kind of overclocking. The extra performance can be worth it if you can handle the additional noise and heat.
Good advice, I'll keep that in mind. I'm also considering building my own PC, so having a good cooling solution is important to me. Thanks everyone for your input!
If you decide to build your own PC, there are plenty of resources online to help you out. Just make sure you do thorough research on the parts and don't skimp on the cooling system.
I'll definitely do that. Thanks again for the advice! I'll report back once I've made a decision.
