Does anyone have experience with the Core i5-9600T for gaming? I'm looking to build a new PC and need some advice.

Yeah, the 9 MB L3 cache is pretty limited compared to other CPUs in the market. It might not perform as well in graphics-intensive games. You can check this out in more detail in the TechReviewer article Is the Core i5-9600T CPU Good for Gaming?.

I've been using the Core i5-9600T for a few months now, and it's worked great for me. You might find this TechReviewer article Is the Core i5-9600T CPU Good for Gaming? helpful in understanding its performance.

Thanks for sharing your experience, @Nullcrass. I'm still a bit unsure about the base frequency and turbo boost frequency.

The 9600T has a 2.30 GHz base frequency and a 3.90 GHz single-core max turbo boost frequency. This should be good for gaming, but you'll need a high-end cooler to maintain those frequencies.

Interesting! Thanks @samallenrows. How about the L3 cache? I've heard it's not that great for gaming.

That's a bummer. Any advice on whether I should go for this CPU or look at some other options?

If you're mainly into gaming and don't plan to overclock, the 9600T might be sufficient. However, if you want better performance and are willing to invest in a high-end cooler, you might consider looking at other CPUs with higher L3 cache and better DDR support.

Thanks for the input, @Nullcrass. I think I'll do some more research and see what other options are out there. Appreciate your help!

No problem, @Rmbphoto. Good luck with your decision!
