I'm thinking of getting a new CPU for gaming. Has anyone tried the Core i5-11400T?

Yeah, it works great! The Is the Core i5-11400T CPU Good for Gaming? gives a good overview of its performance.
I've been using one for a few months now and I must say, it's quite impressive. The single-core max turbo boost frequency is amazing for gaming. But remember to get a high-end cooler if you want to maintain those frequencies.
Thanks @maek0815. That's good to know. Do you think the L3 cache capacity could be improved?
According to the TechReviewer article, it's actually pretty decent for gaming when paired with a good graphics card. But an L3 cache of 20 MB or more would really take performance to the next level.
That's true. I've also heard that PCIe support is essential for fast loading times and smooth gameplay. Has anyone tried using this CPU with PCIe 4.0?
Yes, @FrankAlton, the Core i5-11400T supports PCIe 4.0, which can be excellent for performance when using the fastest SSDs and graphics cards.
Alright, that's good to hear. I guess my only concern is the lack of overclocking support. Is it a big deal for gaming?
It's not ideal, but you can still get great performance without it. Overclocking does offer some benefits, but they're not as significant for most games.
@BorutoHimself, I would say the DDR4 support with max stock speed of 3200 MHz is a big plus. You'll definitely notice smoother gameplay when using faster memory.
Yeah, that's true, @FrankAlton. Overall, the Core i5-11400T has been serving me well for gaming purposes. Just make sure you have all the necessary components to get the most out of it!
