Compare Intel Core i5-11400F & Intel Core i7-10700 Performance?

CPU INTEL 11400F 10700

I've been looking at the Intel Core i5-11400F and Intel Core i7-10700 for my new build. Just wanted to get some opinions on which one would be better for gaming, as that's mostly what I'll be using it for.

Yeah, I've been reading up on this as well, and it seems like the i7-10700 has a bit of an edge in terms of raw power. But, for most games and general usage, either CPU would work just fine. Have you guys seen any benchmarks comparing these two?

Thanks for sharing that link, @Maya1010. I've taken a look at the article and it seems like the i7-10700 does have slightly better overall performance, especially in terms of single-core turbo frequency. However, I'm also considering the budget aspect, as the i5-11400F is a bit cheaper.

That's true, @ccathers. The i5-11400F is more affordable, which can be a big plus if you're on a tight budget. It should still provide good performance for most games and general usage, especially with a high-performance cooler.
