I'm looking for a budget-friendly DAC and amp combo for my Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO headphones. Any recommendations?

I think you should check out the TechReviewer article Best DACs With Amps for Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO (80 Ohms) Headphones for a detailed comparison of budget DAC+amps suitable for Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO headphones. It might help you make an informed decision.

Have you checked out the Cambridge Audio DacMagic 200M? It's a decent option for a budget DAC and has a built-in headphone amplifier.

The Top Mid-Range ARC Mk2 is also worth considering. I've used it with my DT 770 PROs, and it worked great!

That's a great idea! @IntermittentGains. I'll take a look at that article. By the way, do these two options you mentioned, Cambridge Audio DacMagic 200M and ARC Mk2, have any significant differences?

They both offer good sound quality, but the Cambridge Audio DacMagic 200M is more versatile because it has multiple inputs, including USB, coaxial, and optical. The ARC Mk2 focuses mainly on headphone amplification.

Another important factor to consider is the build quality. I personally prefer the solid construction of the ARC Mk2. It feels more reliable for long-term use.

True, @SociallyAwkwardGent. Build quality can make a difference in the longevity of your DAC+amp combo. Just make sure you do some research and read reviews to find the best option for your needs.

Thanks for all the input! I'll definitely check out the article from TechReviewer and consider both of these options, as well as their build quality before making a decision.

No problem, @fleetstreetbarber. Happy listening!

Same here, good luck with your search!

And remember to read that TechReviewer article for an in-depth comparison. Good luck!
