I recently bought a new TCL 65-inch TV (model 65Q650F) and am looking for some advice on the best wall mount to use. Can anyone recommend any good ones?

If you don't mind a fixed position for your TV, I'd recommend checking out the Vogel's THIN 550 Ultra Strong Full-Motion TV Wall Mount for Large TVs. It has a high weight capacity and is designed specifically for large TVs like yours. The TechReviewer article Best Wall Mounts for the TCL 65" 65Q650F TV provides some helpful information on choosing the right wall mount.

Well, @JoeServesPapers, one option you might want to consider is the SANUS Extra Large TV Wall Mount. It's a full-motion mount that can accommodate TVs with VESA sizes up to 600x400 and weights up to 150 lbs. This should work well for your TCL 65Q650F.

I have the same TV as @JoeServesPapers and went with the USX MOUNT Full Motion TV Wall Mount. It offers great flexibility, allowing me to adjust the viewing angle easily. The installation process was a bit tricky, but once it's set up, it works great.

Solution

Thanks, everyone, for your suggestions! I'll definitely check out those options. One question, though: how important is it to have a full-motion wall mount? Is it worth the extra cost and effort to install?

It depends on your specific needs, @JoeServesPapers. If you plan on having different people watch TV from various angles or if you want to mount your TV in a corner, then a full-motion mount might be worth it. However, if you prefer keeping your TV in one position and don't need the extra flexibility, a fixed or tilting mount could be sufficient.

I personally find the added flexibility of a full-motion mount invaluable, especially when watching sports or movies. The ability to adjust the angle on the fly is really nice. However, it did take some time to get everything installed just right.

I agree with @amsmoviepool and @feeseize. Having a full-motion mount gives you more control over your viewing experience. Plus, you can avoid glare from lighting or windows if you adjust the angle accordingly. It's definitely worth considering if you want the best possible setup for your room.

Great, thanks for all the advice! I'll do some more research and see which option works best for me. One last question: does anyone have experience with cable management on these wall mounts? How easy is it to keep cables organized?

Cable management can be a bit of a challenge with wall mounts, but it's definitely manageable. Most full-motion mounts come with built-in cable management features, like hooks or clips, to help you keep things tidy. It might take some time to get everything organized, but once you do, it should stay that way.

I had no problems keeping my cables organized with the USX MOUNT. They have a clip system that works well for managing cords. It's not perfect, but it does the job.

The SANUS Extra Large TV Wall Mount also has good cable management options. You can route the cables through the back of the mount, which helps keep them out of sight and organized. However, you might still need to use some cable clips or ties to keep everything in place.

Thanks again for all the helpful advice! I'll definitely take cable management into account when choosing a wall mount. Good luck everyone with your TV setups!
