Hi @jonscone, congratulations on your new TV! Based on my experience, the Sony HT-A5000 is an excellent choice for the LG 77" G3. It offers a high-end feature set and superior audio quality. You can check out this TechReviewer article Best Soundbars for the LG 77" G3 TV for more information.

@Itsallokay11, thanks for your recommendation! The Sony HT-A5000 seems like a great option. However, I'm also considering the Polk Audio Signa S4 Ultra-Slim Sound Bar as it's more budget-friendly. Any thoughts on this one?

Both options are good, but if you're looking for something slim and less obtrusive, the Polk Audio Signa S4 might be a better fit for your needs. It also has Bluetooth support, which is an added convenience.

Great, thanks! I'm still a bit confused about choosing between these two soundbars. Can anyone provide more insight on their audio quality and performance?

Both the Sony HT-A5000 and Polk Audio Signa S4 offer excellent audio quality, but they cater to different needs. The Sony HT-A5000 provides a richer feature set, including eARC support and Dolby Atmos compatibility. On the other hand, the Polk Audio Signa S4 is more budget-friendly and has a slim design, making it suitable for smaller spaces.

I agree with @Itsallokay11's assessment. Ultimately, it comes down to your personal preferences and the specific requirements of your setup. If you need a soundbar that delivers top-notch audio quality and supports advanced features like eARC and Dolby Atmos, go for the Sony HT-A5000. But if you're on a budget and value compactness and Bluetooth support, the Polk Audio Signa S4 is an excellent choice.

Thanks everyone for your helpful advice! I'll definitely take all this into consideration before making my final decision. One more question, though: how important is HDMI ARC/eARC support when choosing a soundbar?

HDMI ARC and eARC support is crucial if you want to transmit audio from your TV directly to the soundbar via an HDMI cable. This makes it much easier to control volume with your TV remote and ensures high-quality audio transmission. The LG 77" G3 supports eARC, so it's definitely something to consider when choosing a soundbar.

@jonscone, I just wanted to mention that the TechReviewer article Best Soundbars for the LG 77" G3 TV discusses HDMI ARC/eARC support in depth. It might be helpful for you to check it out for a more comprehensive understanding of these features and how they can enhance your home theater experience.
