I've been looking to upgrade my Intel Core i7-14700F and was wondering what the best RAM options are out there. Anyone have any suggestions?

Hi @princeofgnarnia! According to a recent TechReviewer article Best RAM for the Intel Core i7-14700F CPU, the best RAM for your Intel Core i7-14700F CPU is the Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB (5600 MHz version) DDR5 RAM for stock-speed performance and G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB (6000 MHz version) DDR5 RAM for overclocking. For DDR4 options, the Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200 MHz is recommended for stock-speed performance, while the Corsair Vengeance LPX 3600 MHz is a good choice for overclocking.
Thanks @conrob95! I'm leaning towards the Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB (5600 MHz version) DDR5 RAM. Do you have any experience with it?
Yeah, I've been using the Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 5600 MHz DDR5 for a while now and I must say it's fantastic! The higher clock speed makes a huge difference in gaming, especially during fast-paced matches like Apex Legends. The resolution is also great for immersive gaming experiences.
@princeofgnarnia, if you need any help setting up the Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB DDR5 RAM or have any questions about its compatibility with your Intel Core i7-14700F CPU, feel free to ask!
I've been looking at both the Corsair and G.Skill options but can't decide whether to go for DDR4 or DDR5. Any advice?
That's a good question @GameBoyAde. Ultimately it depends on your budget and whether you plan on overclocking your RAM. If you're okay with stock speeds, DDR4 is still a solid choice. But if you want the speed and efficiency of DDR5, I'd go for it.
To add to what @princeofgnarnia said, the TechReviewer article Best RAM for the Intel Core i7-14700F CPU discusses how DDR5 offers improved performance over its predecessor DDR4. However, DDR4 RAM like the Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200 MHz or 3600 MHz can still hold its own in terms of stock-speed and overclocking capabilities.
That's true @conrob95. I've been using DDR4 for years without any issues. It really depends on your needs and what you're comfortable with.
