I'm looking to build a new gaming PC and need some advice on the best power supply unit (PSU) for an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 GPU. Can anyone recommend a reliable and efficient option?

Hi @IMDballa, I've been using the Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 Series 80+ Gold Full Modular ATX 3.0 PCIe Gen 5 Power Supply with my RTX 3080, and it's been fantastic! It offers a wide wattage range (750-1650 watts) and meets the recommended power supply wattage for top-tier components. You can check out this TechReviewer article Choosing the Best PSU for Nvidia's GeForce RTX 3080 GPU for more details on choosing the best PSU for your GPU. I'd highly recommend giving it a read.
Thanks for the suggestion, @bikerjesusguy. That sounds like a great choice! I'll definitely check out that TechReviewer article you mentioned. How has the Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 Series been performing with your RTX 3080?
The Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 Series has been running smoothly with my RTX 3080. It's a reliable and efficient PSU, providing stable power to my system without any issues. I'm quite satisfied with its performance so far.
I've also heard good things about the Corsair RM750x, which is a semi-modular PSU that offers great performance and efficiency. Have you had any experience with this one, @bikerjesusguy?
I haven't personally used the Corsair RM750x, but from what I know, it's a solid choice as well. Both the Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 Series and the Corsair RM750x should work great for your RTX 3080.
Thanks for all the input, guys! I think I'll go with the Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 Series based on your recommendation, @bikerjesusguy. Also, I read the TechReviewer article you shared earlier. It was really helpful in understanding the requirements for my new build.
That's great to hear, @IMDballa! You won't be disappointed with the Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 Series. Enjoy building your new gaming PC!
