I'm building a new computer and I need some advice on choosing the best power supply unit (PSU) for an AMD RX 6700 XT GPU. Any recommendations?

I've read a detailed comparison on TechReviewer about this topic. Check it out here Choosing the Best PSU for AMD's Radeon RX 6700 XT GPU. They covered quite a few power supplies specifically for the RX 6700 XT, including the two mentioned by @Danny0402.

The Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 Series 80+ Gold Full Modular ATX 3.0 PCIe Gen 5 Power Supply and EVGA SuperNOVA G5 Series Fully Modular Power Supply are some of the best options for your AMD RX 6700 XT GPU.

Solution

Thanks for sharing the link @CandySona. How do these PSUs compare in terms of efficiency and cable management?

Efficiency-wise, both Thermaltake and EVGA power supplies offer high efficiency ratings. The 80+ Gold certification ensures that they operate at an 80% efficiency or higher under various loads. In terms of cable management, modular cables can make a big difference in keeping your build neat and organized.

I agree with @coldblow85. Modular cables are definitely a plus when it comes to managing the cables in a tight space. It's also important to consider the power output you need for your system. The RX 6700 XT has a peak power consumption of 230 watts, so make sure the PSU you choose can handle that.

That's good to know @CandySona. I'm thinking of using mid-tier components, so do you think the EVGA SuperNOVA G5 Series with 650-1000 wattage would be sufficient?

The EVGA SuperNOVA G5 Series should work well for your mid-tier setup. It has a good balance of power output and efficiency. Just make sure to add a buffer of around 100-150 watts just to be safe.

Thanks for the advice, everyone. I'll definitely check out those PSU options and do some more research before making my decision. I appreciate your help!
