I'm in the market for a new motherboard to pair with my Intel Core i5-12600 processor. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Best Motherboards for i5-12600?

The GIGABYTE Z690 AORUS Master is an excellent choice if you're looking for the best features and performance. It offers great overclocking capabilities, supports DDR4 memory, and has plenty of USB ports.
I recently picked up the GIGABYTE Z690 AORUS Elite AX DDR4, which is a great option if you're on a budget and don't need to overclock your RAM. It's also a reliable choice with good performance. Check out this TechReviewer article for more details: Choosing the Best Motherboard for Intel's Core i5-12600
I've been using the ASUS TUF Gaming Z690-PLUS for my i5-12600, and it's been working great so far. It's a more affordable option compared to the GIGABYTE options mentioned above but still offers solid performance.
Thanks for the suggestions! @@Aquamentin and @@MileHiMorrow, what about memory overclocking support? I want to be able to push my RAM a bit if needed.
The Z690 AORUS Master does indeed support memory overclocking. It comes with an XMP profile that allows you to easily tweak your RAM settings for optimal performance. On the other hand, the Z690 AORUS Elite AX DDR4 doesn't have these features, so it's better suited for those who don't plan on overclocking their RAM.
I also want a motherboard with an HDMI port since my CPU has integrated graphics. Do either of these GIGABYTE options have that?
Yes, both the GIGABYTE Z690 AORUS Master and the GIGABYTE Z690 AORUS Elite AX DDR4 come with an HDMI port for using your integrated graphics.
Great! How about storage? I'd like to have at least 2 M.2 slots for NVMe SSDs and a few SATA ports as well.
The GIGABYTE Z690 AORUS Master has three x4 NVMe M.2 slots, while the GIGABYTE Z690 AORUS Elite AX DDR4 has two x4 NVMe M.2 slots. Both motherboards also have six SATA 6Gb/s ports for additional storage.
Thanks for the info! It seems like the Z690 AORUS Master is a better fit for my needs, but it's a bit more expensive. I'll check out the TechReviewer article Choosing the Best Motherboard for Intel's Core i5-12600 @@MileHiMorrow mentioned earlier to see if the extra features are worth it. What about the connectivity? How many USB ports does each one offer?
The GIGABYTE Z690 AORUS Master has 12 USB ports, including two Thunderbolt 4 ports, four USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 ports, and four USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports. The GIGABYTE Z690 AORUS Elite AX DDR4 comes with 10 USB ports, which include two USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 ports, six USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, and two USB 2.0 ports.
That's a pretty significant difference in USB ports between the two. The Z690 AORUS Master seems like it would give me more flexibility with my devices. Thanks for all your help, everyone!
