Best CPU for Video Editing: Intel Core i3-14100 or i9-13900F?

CPU INTEL 14100 13900F

I'm looking to buy a new CPU for video editing. I came across the Intel Core i3-14100 and the i9-13900F. Can anyone tell me which one would be better suited for this purpose? I've heard that having more cores is beneficial for video editing.

Both CPUs have their own advantages, but in terms of video editing, the Core i9-13900F seems to be a better choice due to its higher core count (24 Performance cores and 16 Efficiency cores), larger L3 cache (36 MB), and better single-core turbo frequency (5.60 GHz). @JeffSchrembs,@RemondBall Thanks for the input! I'm currently limited by my current GPU, but I'm planning to upgrade that soon as well. I guess it would make sense to go for the i9-13900F since it would give me more room to grow and better overall performance.

Just a quick note - if you're on a budget, the Core i3-14100 is still a decent option for video editing. It has 4 Performance cores and a base frequency of 3.50 GHz, which should be enough for smaller projects or if you're just starting out in video editing.
