BenQ Zowie XL2746S vs. XL2740: Better Color Accuracy?

Started by Xinergize on May 10, 2024

I'm looking for a new gaming monitor and came across the BenQ Zowie XL2746S and XL2740. Can anyone tell me which one has better color accuracy? I want to use it for photo editing as well.

The TechReviewer article BenQ 27" Zowie XL2746S vs. BenQ 27" Zowie XL2740 does an excellent job of comparing these two monitors in terms of their color accuracy. Based on the information there, both models have 98% SRGB color capability, so they should perform similarly in this regard.

Solution

@Xinergize, I recently purchased the XL2740 for gaming and photo editing. I found that it performed well in both areas. Color accuracy was satisfactory, and I didn't face any issues while working on photos or playing games.

I have the same monitor as @ItzXyles, and I agree with them. The color accuracy is good enough for my needs in photo editing and gaming.

Thanks for the input, guys! So, both monitors seem to offer decent color accuracy, but are there any other factors that could affect this?

Yes, it's worth considering factors like display panel type (TN vs. IPS), contrast ratio, and calibration options. These can all influence a monitor's overall color accuracy.

That's helpful to know. I'll definitely take those factors into account when making my decision.

If you're on the fence between these two monitors, I'd recommend reading more reviews online before making your final choice. Sometimes, user experiences can give you a better idea of how well a monitor performs in real-world scenarios.

I'll do that. Thanks for all the advice!
