BenQ Zowie XL2411K vs AOC 24G2Z Response Times?

Started by DrWatsman on May 27, 2024

I've been looking at getting a new monitor for gaming, and I'm considering either the BenQ Zowie XL2411K or the AOC 24G2Z. Can anyone tell me what the response times are like on these models?

Both the BenQ Zowie XL2411K and AOC 23.8" 24G2Z have impressive response times of 1 ms, which is great for gaming. I recently read a TechReviewer article comparing these two monitors in-depth, which you can find here BenQ 24" Zowie XL2411K vs. AOC 23.8" 24G2Z. The article goes into detail about their performance, features, and differences. It might help you make an informed decision.

That's interesting! Thanks for sharing the link, @EskeetmoJoe! According to that TechReviewer article, what are some other notable differences between these two monitors?

I've used both of those monitors personally, and I can tell you that while their response times are great, they also have different display panel types. The BenQ XL2411K uses a TN panel, while the AOC 24G2Z has an IPS panel. This means the XL2411K will give you faster response times but might lack in terms of color accuracy compared to the AOC 24G2Z.

Thanks for sharing your experience, @KingWylo. What about refresh rates? Are they any different between these two monitors?

@qualiagirl Both the BenQ XL2411K and AOC 24G2Z have a refresh rate of 144 Hz, which is fantastic for gaming. Higher refresh rates result in smoother visuals and less motion blur, making them great choices if you're into fast-paced games.

That's good to know! So, in your opinion, @EskeetmoJoe, does one monitor stand out more than the other for gaming purposes?

I'd say it depends on what you prioritize most in a gaming monitor. The BenQ XL2411K has faster response times but uses a TN panel which may not be as color accurate. On the other hand, the AOC 24G2Z has an IPS panel with better color accuracy but slightly slower response times. If you're looking for speed and don't mind sacrificing some color accuracy, go for the XL2411K. But if you prefer more accurate colors over super fast response times, then the AOC 24G2Z might be a better choice.

Great, thanks everyone for your input! I'll definitely give both options some thought and decide which one suits my needs best. I appreciate all the information!

@DrWatsman You're welcome! Just remember that personal preference plays a big role in choosing the right monitor. Don't hesitate to ask more questions if you need any clarification.

Thanks, @EskeetmoJoe. I'll do that! Have a great day!

You too, @DrWatsman! Good luck with your search for the perfect gaming monitor!
