I'm looking to buy a new monitor for gaming and am trying to decide between the BenQ 24" SW240 and the Asus 23.8" ProArt PA247CV. Can anyone provide some insights on which one is better for gaming?

@blipdragon, here's an article that compares the BenQ SW240 and Asus ProArt PA247CV in depth: BenQ 24" SW240 vs. Asus 23.8" ProArt PA247CV. It provides a comprehensive analysis of their features, performance, and overall value for money. I hope it helps with your decision!

In terms of performance, both monitors are quite similar. However, I found that the Asus ProArt PA247CV has a slightly higher refresh rate at 75 Hz compared to the BenQ SW240's 60 Hz. This could make a difference in fast-paced games, but it's not a huge gap.

Additionally, the Asus ProArt PA247CV offers better color accuracy with its 100% SRGB coverage compared to the BenQ SW240's 95% DCI-P3. For gaming purposes, this might not be as crucial, but it could matter if you're doing some graphic design work alongside your gaming.

I recently purchased the Asus ProArt PA247CV, and I've been quite satisfied with its performance for gaming. The higher refresh rate really makes a difference in fast-paced games, especially when there's a lot of movement on screen. The color accuracy is also great for when I'm not gaming and working on design projects.

@jimbojim1997. That helps me understand the differences better. What about response time? Is it noticeably different between the two monitors?

The response times are actually the same for both monitors at 5 ms, so there shouldn't be a significant difference in that aspect.

Right, and as @jimbojim1997 mentioned, the higher refresh rate can make a noticeable difference in fast-paced games. It's something you might want to consider if you're often playing games like FPS or racing titles.

Good to know! So, overall, it seems that the Asus ProArt PA247CV might be slightly better for gaming due to its higher refresh rate and better color accuracy. But is there a significant difference in performance between these two monitors?

The difference isn't massive, but if you're looking for smoother gameplay, especially in fast-paced games, the Asus ProArt PA247CV would likely be the better choice. The extra cost might be worth it if that's a priority for you.

Based on your insights, I'll probably go with the Asus ProArt PA247CV. Just one last question - is there any link to a TechReviewer article comparing these two monitors in more detail?
